Ivorysoft ("we", "our", or "us") operates the My Interview Copilot application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our macOS application.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Data You Provide:
  • Interview preparation notes and meeting titles
  • Tags and topics for organizing meetings
  • Language preferences
  • API keys for third-party AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)
2.2 Data Collected Automatically:
  • Audio from your selected browser tab or window (for transcription)
  • Screenshots of your screen (when you request AI analysis)
  • Transcribed text from interviews
  • AI-generated suggestions and responses
  • Meeting duration and timestamps
2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect:
  • Your name, email, or contact information
  • Device identifiers or hardware information
  • Location data
  • Usage analytics or telemetry
  • Crash reports
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data exclusively to provide the app's core functionality:
  • Transcription: Audio is sent to OpenAI's API for speech-to-text conversion
  • AI Suggestions: Transcribed text and your notes are sent to your selected AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) to generate interview assistance
  • Screenshot Analysis: When requested, screenshots are sent to vision-capable AI models for analysis
  • Local Storage: Meetings and transcripts are stored locally on your device for your reference
We do NOT:
  • Use your data for advertising
  • Sell your data to third parties
  • Use your data to train AI models
  • Share your data with anyone except the AI providers you explicitly configure
4. Third-Party Services
The app integrates with the following third-party AI services. When you use these services, your data is subject to their respective privacy policies:

Your API keys are stored locally and transmitted directly to these services. We do not have access to your API keys or the data you send to these providers.
5. Data Storage & Security
5.1 Local Storage:
All app data is stored locally on your Mac:
  • Settings and preferences: macOS UserDefaults
  • Meeting transcripts: ~/Library/Application Support/MyInterviewCopilot/
  • API keys: macOS UserDefaults (we recommend using unique API keys for this app)
5.2 Data Transmission:
  • All API communications use HTTPS encryption
  • Audio and images are transmitted directly to AI providers
  • No data passes through our servers
5.3 Data Retention:
  • Local data remains until you delete it
  • We do not retain any copies of your data
  • AI providers may retain data according to their policies
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR, you have the following rights:
  • Right to Access: All your data is stored locally and fully accessible to you
  • Right to Rectification: You can edit your meetings and notes at any time
  • Right to Erasure: Delete meetings individually or uninstall the app to remove all data
  • Right to Data Portability: Transcripts are stored as JSON files you can export
  • Right to Object: You control which AI providers process your data
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Stop using AI features or remove API keys at any time
Since we don't store your data on our servers, most data subject requests can be fulfilled directly within the app.
7. Children's Privacy
My Interview Copilot is not intended for use by children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
